The project provides and supports renewable energy technologies in one pilot rural first aid station in each province (a total of seven). The rural first aid station is fitted with mini-hydro units and solar energy. This will ensure greater access to electricity, necessary for vital treatment for many people, most importantly pregnant women. Solar panels will also be used, improving refrigeration of essential medicines and vaccinations. It is done to demonstrate efficiency of use of renewable energy in remote areas.
Delivery of the project in 2011 - $ 4,895.
