The Porject established a coordination mechanism to faciliate the effective and efficient collaboration between the participating UN agencies. The UN Coordination Specialist, in support of the UNRC, reinforces the UN Country Team to support development, monitoring and evaluation of national strategies and commitmetns to backstop UN system support for implementaiton of the Country Development Strategy, to develop and implement joint programmes, to monitor progress towards the MDGs and global conferences, to assist the UNCT to mainsteraem human rihts and gender into its work and to engage with civil society, to assist agencies without country presence to access to national systems and processes.
