BOMCA is aimed to provide the framework for an Integrated  Border Management System, to increase
 border security, to control functions at the borders more effectively, while facilitating the legal flow of
 persons, trade and transit.

BOMCA 7 in the Kyrgyz Republic consists of 3 Projects:

1. Institutional Reform;
2. Strengthening training capacity in Central Asia;
3. Strengthening  counter-drug capacities at borders in Central Asia.

In the frame of implementation of  BOMCA 7 Programme the following activities are realized:

- assistance to National Coordination Center in developing National Strategy and Action Plan on introducing Integrated Border Management (IBM) in the Kyrgyz Republic;
- holding International Donor Conference in order to present National Strategy and Action Plan on introducing IBM in the Kyrgyz Republic
- trainings on IBM;
- skills trainings (including detection of drugs and precursors);
- training of trainers;
- training of Dog Handlers;
- sross Border Workshops at the border of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan;
- Study Tours to European countries;
- renovation of training facilities of the Republican Centre on Quarantin and Especially Dangerous Infections of the Ministry of Health and the State Inspection on Plant Quarantin of the Ministry of Agriculture;
- procurement od equipment to the State Department on Veterinary Inspection of the Ministry of Agriculture;
- procurement of equipment to Inter-Agency Dog Handlers Training Center
